Messi breaks Ronaldo's all-time record

On the second day of the UEFA Champions League, Lionel Messi wrote the history books (UCL). 

Argentine stalwart Lionel Messi broke many records in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Thursday.

Messi, beat his Ballon d'Or arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo to set a magnificent record.

Maccabi Haifa, playing on home soil at the Sammy Ofer Stadium, upset Ligue 1 heavyweights in the opening 30 minutes.

Messi was previously captain of FC Barcelona.

Messi has scored goals in the tournament against a record-breaking 39 different teams.
